The San Diego Convention Center, the City of San Diego, and the Port of San Diego have announced traffic restrictions that create a pedestrian-friendly experience during Comic-Con Special Edition 2021. The public will continue to be able to access the waterfront during Comic-Con Special Edition (November 26-28), as detailed in the map below.
HARBOR DRIVE WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLE TRAFFIC (including bikes, scooters and skateboards) between First Avenue and Park Boulevard during Comic-Con Special Edition, with the exception of emergency vehicles and select Comic-Con Special Edition shuttles. Cars will be screened.
By closing Harbor Drive, the shuttles will be allowed to load and unload passengers directly from the street.
Any exhibitor or attendee with a parking pass for the Ace Parking garage directly underneath the San Diego Convention Center will be allowed to drive to the entrance of the parking garage. All other drivers will be diverted away from the Convention Center.
31 clearly marked parking spaces at Embarcadero Marina Park South will be available for public use on a first-come, first-served basis, including dedicated spaces for public fishing pier users.
ONLY BADGED MEMBERS (attendees of Comic-Con Special Edition 2021) may access the front drive and sidewalk, and stairs of the San Diego Convention Center.
When is this happening?
Harbor Drive will be closed to traffic (including bikes, scooters and skateboards) on the following days and times:
- FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM
- SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM
- SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
Harbor Drive will reopen to traffic after the hours listed above, or earlier if deemed appropriate by public safety officials.
Badged attendees with or in ADA vehicles are permitted.
