San Diego Convention Center Announces Lineup of Chocolate Bars Exclusively Available During Comic-Con® 2025

San Diego, Calif. (July 15, 2025)—With four new flavors, the San Diego Convention Center unveils its 2025 suite of limited-edition chocolate bars to be sold during this summer’s world-renowned Comic-Con International: San Diego (Comic-Con) event. A total of 7,500 handcrafted bars will be sold during Comic-Con from July 24-27, 2025.

Sodexo Live! Executive Chef Sufi Karaien and Pastry Chef Molly Pease teamed up to create imaginative flavors that celebrate the whimsy and creativity of the convention. Their culinary team handcrafts each bar with care during the weeks leading up to the major popular arts event. Each bar is then locally wrapped and sold exclusively to Comic-Con attendees at the Craft Chocolate Bar booth in Lobby 20.

“Just as no day at Comic-Con is exactly the same, each taste of these chocolate bars offers something new and surprising,” Karaien said. “With every flavor, we seek to create a memorable experience for attendees to take home and share. Our Sodexo Live! team embraces the challenge of finding fresh ways to elevate every event we’re part of at the San Diego Convention Center.”

First Look at the 2025 Flavors

  • Flying Saucer fuels your next mission to Hall H with a gravity-defying mix of coffee beans, toffee, brownie brittle, and milk chocolate.
  • Home Run Bar knocks it out of the park, mixing game-time snacks into decadent perfection. Cheer on this lineup of pretzels, pecans, sea salt potato chips, and dark chocolate.
  • Pop Star Party is a throwback, a celebration, and a collectible wrapped into one. Pretty in pink, this treat combines strawberry cream, puffed rice, fortune cookies, and white chocolate.
  • Saga of the S'mores ignites your tastebuds with an epic blend. Prepare for a journey to s'moredor with toasted marshmallows, graham crackers, sea salt, and milk chocolate.

After the chefs develop the flavors, the Convention Center's creative trio—Hailey Adams, Grayson Van Loon, and Dylan James—brings the bars to life with custom themes, illustrations, and animations.

The craft chocolates will be priced at $10 each. This tradition started in 2016 as an exclusive offering for event attendees. As in past years, golden tickets will be hidden inside four chocolate bars, each redeemable for a $100 Starbucks gift card.

In addition to the chocolates, event concessions include braised carnitas nachos, warm pretzels, locally made ice cream, craft sodas, and additional grab-and-go options throughout the building.

With a robust program of speakers, exhibits, films, and games, Comic-Con attracts more than 135,000 attendees, creating a regional economic impact of more than $160 million and tax revenues of more than $3 million to the City of San Diego. San Diego has hosted Comic-Con for more than 50 years.
