For the second consecutive year, the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) took top honors at Southern California Meetings + Events magazine’s Best Of Readers’ Choice Awards event held Sept. 16 at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad. The SDCC was ranked above the Los Angeles and Anaheim Convention Centers by Southern California Meetings + Events magazine readers, a publication targeted to meetings and event planners and suppliers.
“Being recognized as the top Convention Center in Southern California for a second year in a row is a tremendous honor and a tremendous compliment to everyone of our staff members who are personally committed not only to meeting, but exceeding our clients’ expectations when they come to the Convention Center,” said Carol Wallace, president and CEO of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation. “What sets our facility apart in our industry is what we refer to as the ‘San Diego Spirit’ a total service commitment by every employee to proudly represent and personally welcome every guest to San Diego.”
This is the second annual Best Of Awards celebration for Southern California Meetings + Events magazine. Sixteen-hundred readers cast their ballots online this spring.
