(San Diego) April 12, 2010 – The San Diego Convention Center Corporation (SDCCC) is pleased to announce the addition of Bruce Goodwin to its board of directors. He was selected by the San Diego Hotel-Motel Association (SDHMA) to serve in an ex-officio capacity replacing Duke Sobek. Mr. Goodwin is the managing principal of Goodwin & Associates (G&A), a hospitality industry consulting firm based in San Diego and Mexico City. G&A specializes in acquisition and development consulting for hospitality industry related projects in the southwestern United States and throughout Mexico and Central America. He has over 30 years of consulting experience and 15 years of direct hotel management experience. Clients of G&A include international hotel chains and financial institutions. He currently serves on the boards of the SDHMA, the Vista Hill Foundation and the International Society of Hospitality Consultants. The SDCCC has a 9-member board of directors who set policy for the corporation. The San Diego City Council appoints seven voting members to 3-year terms. Two ex-officio members, or non-voting members, are appointed by the SDHMA and the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau.
