The San Diego Convention Center recently received the 2007 Association Meetings Inner Circle Award from Association Meetings magazine for being one of the top-rated convention centers in the nation. The Convention Center was the only center on the West Coast to receive this honor and one of just fifteen convention centers nation-wide. Award winners are selected by an annual reader’s survey of the best convention centers, convention and visitors bureaus, and hotels in the meetings industry. “We are honored to be chosen for this prestigious industry award,” said Carol Wallace, president and CEO of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation. “The meetings and convention industry is highly competitive, and the fact that this award is based on votes from our clients really emphasizes the superior customer service and outstanding facility we provide.” Readers of Association Meetings magazine are asked to consider customer service levels, flexibility of meeting and exhibit space, quality of food and beverage service and the value of local hotel room rates when casting their ballots.
