Renowned for its impeccable "white glove" treatment and "total service" philosophy, the San Diego Convention Center has won numerous awards for its ability to insure the safety of our guests while providing exceptional service.
Our Guest Services Division is divided into two separate and distinct functions: Guest Services and Asset Protection. A complimentary number of uniformed Guest Services and Asset Protection staff is provided for each event. These complimentary services can be "customized" to fit our clients' specific needs. Guest and Asset Protection Services beyond the complimentary level are available at billable rates and can be arranged through your Event Manager.
Guest Services
We were the first convention center in North America to use white-gloved, uniformed door greeters and our Guest Services staff continues to stand ready to serve in the following ways:
- Serve as greeters at the front doors and as information and direction specialists in the lobbies. They also provide directions and manage traffic flow throughout the building.
- Coat, parcel and luggage check services available upon request.
- Ticket taking services available for concerts and public events.
Asset Protection:
Our Asset Protection staff is dedicated to insuring guest safety and security around the clock. Easy to recognize in their dark green uniforms, our Asset Protection staff retains control of all public spaces including lobbies, docks, perimeter areas and service roads while maintaining an open and friendly environment for our clients and guests.
- Manage vehicle flow and traffic control on the front driveway, service roads and rear loading docks.
- Continuously patrol and monitor the building, parking garage and grounds 24 hours a day using a high-tech digital surveillance system.
* Event Security Services - Our clients are welcome to contract for event security staffing through one of the SDCCC's approved security vendors.
