Public Transportation

Getting to San Diego's favorite attractions has never been so easy. The region has plenty of public transportation options that include busses, shuttles, train and light rail.

MTS

The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) offers fast and convenient service from the airport to the Convention Center. MTS operates the San Diego Trolley and has made trip planning easy with the fun places to go transportation guide. In addition to the trolley, The Flyer, MTS bus route 992, directly services the airport and the downtown area.

Coaster

The North County Transit District's Coaster provides train service that links downtown San Diego to the region's coastal communities. Stretching from downtown San Diego to Oceanside, the Coaster is a great way to enjoy the California coastline.

San Diego Quiet Zone Project Now in Affect

In an effort to reduce downtown noise levels, train and light rain engineers are no longer required to sound horns when approaching stops. Always look before you cross rail tracks and follow posted directions.
